The 3rd edition of the Brightness Illustration Award 2021, organized by Brightness Magazine has been recently opened for entries inviting both amateur and professional artists to participate.
The Brightness competition is a non-profit event open to both amateur and professional artists from any country. The aim is to give artists the ultimate platform to develop their passion and career in the illustration sector. Finalists will benefit from exhibiting, and showcasing their work to art critics and art directors.

❹ UNPUBLISHED (Self-generated personal, experimental and fine artwork.)
Our show is judged by leading artists, art directors and designers from across the globe. All judging is done digitally so our judges don’t know the identity of our entrants. It takes a majority of the judges’ votes to be featured in the magazine. Submission guidelines:
➜ Submitted artworks only are accepted if they are formatted in the following manner: JPG or JPEG, RGB colour, without watermarks, 150 dpi.
➜ Artwork must be single or multiple works of original art derived from an original concept created by the entrant. The design can be a pre-existing piece of art (i.e. created by the participant before the announcement of this competition).
➜ If your work was released in another language, please provide us with an English translation.
➜ The artwork is not incorporated as part of any contract, agreement or commission with any gallery, studio, institution or person, entered into by the participant, that restricts their ability to comply with the licenses, terms, and conditions of the competition.

Who can participate? ⇣Brightness encourages entries from all 2D and 3D artists regardless of their experience and education received in art, as well as their residence. This is an international competition and everyone is encouraged to participate.

BRIGHTNESS AWARD PRIZES
All winners and selected artists will receive a free digital edition of the Annual book and a PDF certificate. Your work will also be displayed in our online gallery which has links to your contact information. Best of Show winners will also receive an offer a contract with the winner for a representation and promotion on our website and social media. Perhaps to 3 winners from 3 categories.
First Place:
-Provide free space at Cluster Illustration Fairs for Brightness Illustration Award 2021 Winner artist (£1400, it’s not a cash prize)
– Provide free application for Cluster illustration residency 2022 (£300, it’s not a cash prize) -An exclusive interview with the winners.
-Winners’ illustrations will also be featured on Brightness Magazine’s front cover.
